How to Allow Access for Certain IP/MAC Addresses

RemoteView adheres to the company’s security policies through granular security, allowing access to work PCs only from authorized devices (or users). 

*Whitelisting is required for secure access control. Administrator accounts are exceptions to access blocking.

*To use WebViewer, open the Settings menu in the top right > Select Privacy and security > Click Site Settings > Set “Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects” as default.

Allowing access only from certain IP/MAC addresses can be configured. 

* Administrator IDs can access remote PCs even when they are not within the allowed IP range. This is applied in the User ID.

 

1. How to set allowed IP addresses

1) Log in to the RemoteView website (www.rview.com) > Preferences > Company Settings > Restriction by IP and MAC

 

2) Restrict access by IP > Click Use All

In this way, all registered remote PCs will be accessible only from certain IP addresses.

 

3) Click the Excel icon to export to an Excel file

These IP addresses can be exported to an Excel file. Please ensure that IP addresses are not duplicated.

 

 2. How to set allowed MAC addresses

1) Log in to the RemoteView website (www.rview.com) > Preferences > Company Settings > Restriction by IP and MAC

 

2) Restrict access by MAC > Click Use All or Optional

  • Use All: Accessing to all registered remote PCs will be limited to devices with certain MAC addresses
  • Optional: Remote control will be allowed only when the MAC addresses match the user.
