Hello, this is the RemoteView team.
Thank you for your continued trust in and use of RemoteView.
As AI technology continues to advance rapidly, security threats such as account takeover and automated attacks that exploit this technology are also becoming more sophisticated. To further protect your valuable data and remote access environment, RemoteView will be carrying out the following update to strengthen our service security.
This update includes essential measures to protect your account, and some usage procedures will change as a result. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
◆ Schedule
- Scheduled Date: October 22, 2026 (Thu) 16:00 – October 23, 2026 (Fri) 02:00 (KST)
October 22, 2026 (Thu) 02:00 – 12:00 (CDT) - Scope: All RemoteView users
- Inactive Account Lockout Enforcement: Starting November 23, 2026 (Mon) (1-month grace period applies)
◆ Key Changes (Details)
1. Expanded Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Two-factor authentication will now be required at every login, so that even if account credentials are compromised, third parties will not be able to log in.
- Users who do not currently use 2FA will automatically be set to email verification by default.
- A verification code will be sent to your registered email address at login; entering the code completes the login. (No advance setup required.)
- For users without a registered email: If a user without a registered email address attempts to log in, a pop-up will appear prompting them to update their email information.
- Please check in advance: Please make sure your registered email address is still active. If you have no registered email address, or cannot access the one on file, please contact the Helpdesk or your sales representative before the update takes effect. (Check via: RemoteView login → [My Info / Account Settings])

2. Account Lockout After 5 Failed Login Attempts (10 Minutes)
- To block automated attacks that attempt random password guessing, an account will be locked for 10 minutes after 5 consecutive failed login attempts.
3. Lockout for Accounts Inactive for 1 Year or More
- Accounts with no login activity in the past year will be automatically locked, to prevent unused accounts from being exploited as an attack vector.
- 1-month grace period: October 22, 2026 (Thu) – November 22, 2026 (Sun)
- Enforcement date: Starting November 23, 2026 (Mon)
- Logging in even once during the grace period will exclude an account from lockout.
- To reactivate a locked account after the grace period has ended, please contact your sales representative or the Helpdesk.
- If you have any accounts that have not been used in a long time, we recommend logging in before November 22 as a precaution.
4. Verification Email Resend Limit (3 Minutes)
- To prevent verification emails from being sent excessively, a resend is only available 3 minutes after the previous email was sent.
- If the email does not arrive, please check your spam folder first, then request a resend after 3 minutes.
5. Re-Authentication Required When an Administrator Changes a User's Password
- Passwords should only be known to the account owner; however, an administrator can change a user's password directly when necessary. In this case, an additional two-factor authentication step will now also be required for added security.
◆ What to Prepare in Advance
- Please confirm that you have a registered email address and that it is correct and currently in use.
- Please add RemoteView's verification email sender address to your allow list.
- Please check that the sender address is not blocked by your internal mail server or security solution. (Coordinate with your IT security team if needed.)
- If you have any accounts that have not logged in for a long time, please log in before November 22, 2026 (Sun).
- Please share this security update in advance with the users in your organization.
◆ Notes
- This update will proceed without any service interruption.
